Referee Information (Please click this link to learn how to sign-up for courses.)

2024 Referee courses are now available. Anyone 13 or above may take the referee course. We have two local options for the in-person portion: February 3rd in Weston at Greenheck and February 17th in Wisconsin Rapids at Immanuel Lutheran.

Becoming a soccer referee is a great way to stay active, stay involved with the game you love, and of course, make some money while doing those first two things! There will be some mentoring for our new referees from me (your referee assignor) and some of the older, more experienced referees in the community. Please go to the Referees page for more information!

WisRef 2024 NEW Referee Course Instructions

NEW Referee courses are being offered by the Wisconsin Soccer Referee Development Program (WisRef) for a 2024 USSF Referee license expiring 12/31/2024. The successful Referee candidate will have the opportunity to officiate games for all of the 2024 calendar year soccer seasons.

This course is for new, first time Referees that have not been previously registered as a Referee. Minimum age per US Soccer policy is 13 years old at the time of registering for the course. There is an online portion that you will have to complete as well as an in person portion. The total cost is $100 which you can easily earn back if you ref at least 4-5 games in one season. After you become a certified referee, you will only have to do the recertification course each year which is strictly online and does not take as long as the new certification course.

Please follow the steps below to get started on your referee journey!
